Six years ago Waiheke got its very own book festival – the brainchild of founding Creative Director Geraldine O’Sullivan Beere. Geraldine has stepped down and the new look Waiheke Literary Festival is now being run by the Waiheke Book Festival Charitable Trust.
The Trust has a bold new vision for the Festival and is determined for it to become a “must go to” literary weekend.
The Festival has a great mix of ticketed and free events and the team is working hard to ensure ticket prices are as affordable as possible to make this wonderful line-up accessible to as many people as we can.
To support the Festival, we are creating a supporter programme and invite you to participate by becoming a Patron, Friend or Volunteer.
We do hope you will support the work of the Festival Trust and attend some of our wonderful events this year.
Enjoy special literary events, exclusive tickets prices and reserved seating at all ticketed events.
As a Patron you might also enjoy billeting a literary guest over the Festival weekend.Find Out More
Each year we rely on a group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who give their time to help us deliver the Festival. In return, our volunteers get a fun behind-the-scenes experience and help make a vital contribution to Waiheke Island’s cultural life.Find Out More
