Kayla Mackenzie-Kopp was born in Christchurch, but spent most of her adult life in Europe, where she taught at the English Department of Heidelberg University, had her own practice for spiritual psychotherapy, and brought up three children. She returned to New Zealand in 2002 and now lives and writes on Waiheke Island.
Her poems and short stories have been among the finalists in numerous national competitions, and she has been published abroad and here in JAAM magazine and the journal of the South Pacific Association. She is in two local collections – “Slow Down You’re Here” and “Sentries of the Heart”. Her book “Time and Time Again” based on past life experiences will be published this year.
