Writing for children and young adults offers its own strategies and challenges, heartbreak and hope.

This workshop will look at the craft of writing fiction for this age group: connecting with and engaging young readers, developing ideas and structure, as well as tips for getting started. Learn from the experience of two successful Waiheke authors of children’s fiction, Paul Mason :The Factor Four series; The Twins, the Ghost and the Castle, and Sam Ashworth: The Falconer’s Daughter.

This workshop is run in collaboration with the Waiheke Adult Learning Centre.
